No Sex Please, We're Rehearsing

A stellar cast is busy preparing No Sex, Please, We're British for its June 14th opening night. The farce, by Anthony Marriott and Alistair Foot, played to full houses for 15 years in London. Gaslight's production is directed by Richard Bostwick

Francis Hunter (Edie Davis) lives above a bank with her husband Peter (Jonathan Williams) who is the bank's assistant manager. Francis innocently sends a mail order off for some Scandinavian glassware. What comes is Scandinavian pornography.

The two, along with the bank's frantic chief cashier Brian Runnicles (Henry Quintal) , must decide what to do with the veritable floods of pornography, photographs, books, films and eventually girls that threaten to engulf this happy couple.

The matter is considerably complicated by Peter's mother Eleanor (Juli Brooks) his boss Mr. Brumhead (David Marshall), Mr. Needham, a visiting bank inspector (Henrik Strandskov), police Superintendent Paul (Gregor Smith), and a muddled friend who does everything wrong in his reluctant efforts to set everything right, all of which works up to a hilarious ending of closed or slamming doors.. Eliza J. Robbins as Susan and Wendi Richards as Barbara round out the cast.
