Director, Cast and Crew Preparing Thought-Provoking Mrs Packard

Director Bruce Hertz and cast are well underway rehearsing for Gaslight Theater’s first play of 2013, Mrs. Packard by Emily Mann.

Mrs. Packard tells a true and inspring story from the 1860s. A wife is committed to a mental hospital by her husband for disagreeing with his strict Calvinist view of the world. The play follows Elizabeth Packard's battle to free herself and expose the cruelty of the system that allowed her to be imprisoned.

  • Mrs. Elizabeth Packard: Elizabeth Chasse
  • Rev. Theophilus Packard: David Marshall
  • Dr. Andrew McFarland: Henry Quintal
  • Mrs. Bonner (Matron): Ellen Lamb
  • Mrs. Tenney (Matron of 8th Ward): Lucy Poland
  • Mrs. Stockton (Patient 7th Ward): Lynn Twitchell
  • Mrs. Chapman (Patient 7th Ward): Karen LaPlante
  • Mrs. Blessing, witness for the defense: Elizabeth McKenney
  • Judge: Larry Vinal
