Rehearsals Begin in "Earnest"

Director Karen LaPlante has selected a cast and begun rehearsals for Gaslight's production of Oscar Wilde's classic comedy The Importance of Being Earnest.

Matt Blais is Jack Worthing and Daniel Kennedy is Algernon Moncrieff, two young men leading at least two lives each. Katie Doornbus is Jack's adored Gwendolyn Fairfax, and Hannah Weston is Algernon's love, Cecily Cardew.

Ellen Lamb is the redoubtable Lady Bracknell, and Larry Vinal is Canon Chasuble. Jeralyn Shattuck holds the key to the plot as Miss Prism, and Bob Collins completes the cast as Lane and Merriman.

Gaslight's production of Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest will open May 27th at Hallowell City Hall.
