My Three Angels Opens November 12

Reservation line open now: 626-3698

Gaslight Theater will close the regular season for 2010 with a "delightfully wicked" Christmas Comedy. Written by Sam and Bella Spewack and directed by Jeralyn Shattuck, My Three Angels is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season.

Opening night, Friday November 12, will be followed by a reception for audience, cast and crew. Ticket prices are $12 for adults, $10 for students and seniors (60 and over). For reservations, call 626-3698.

My Three Angels will have six performances, through November 20th:

  • November 12th and 13th, 8:00 pm
  • November 14th, 2:00 pm matinee
  • November 18th, 7:30 pm
  • November 19th and 20th, 8:00 pm

My Three Angels is set in French Guiana, a region where on Christmas day the temperature has graciously dropped to 104 degrees. Three convicts are employed as roofers by a family (Felix Ducotel, his wife Emilie and daughter Marie-Louise), whose roof is in desperate need of maintenance. On the way from France is evil-minded cousin Henri, to oust Felix from his business, and his cold-blooded nephew Paul, who is jilting the father's daughter for an heiress. Convicts Jules, Joseph and Alfred—two of them murderers, the third a swindler—take the visitors on. All three have warm hearts and are passionate believers in true justice. Possessing every criminal art and penal grace, they set matters right and in doing so redeem themselves as real life angels to the grateful family.
